recommendsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. We cannot recommend Martin & Tricia highly enough. They have kept our holiday cottage carpets in ‘brand new’ condition for years. They’ve also treated our mattresses and will be cleaning our curtains in situ shortly. They’re so professional and helpful, we wouldn’t trust anyone else 😊

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 5 star service from Cleaning Doctor South Devon. It’s the second time I’ve used Tricia and Martin to clean our carpets and rugs. The service and result is amazing and well priced. They work so well as a couple and also give great advice regarding moth proofing certain areas. Having a young Labrador, who is allowed everywhere, my buttermilk carpets were definitely turning into more of a Devon red muddy colour, a few hard working hours from Cleaning Doctor and they are buttermilk colour again. I cannot thank them enough, the result is incredible and I would never have thought they could clean them to get that result. They are such lovely people too. Don’t even think about using anyone else. Thanks Tricia and Martin and love from Willow 🐾🐾🙏🏼

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our expert odour removal services.

What types of odours can you remove?

We specialise in removing persistent odours from various sources including pet accidents (urine, faeces), milk spills, smoke damage, food odours, biological spillages, and general musty smells. Our advanced enzymatic treatments break down odour-causing bacteria at a molecular level rather than just masking the smell.

How does the odour removal process work?

Our comprehensive process includes: identifying and mapping contamination (including underlay and subfloor), applying targeted enzymatic and deodorising treatments, deep cleaning affected textiles, treating underfelt or subfloor where required, and thorough drying with re-assessment. If necessary, we repeat spot treatments to ensure complete odour elimination.

Why do odours keep coming back after cleaning?

Odours linger because spills soak deep into fibres, padding, and even subfloors. They can wick back to the surface and generate persistent smells through bacterial activity. Standard cleaning often only treats the surface. Our process tackles contamination at its source, including underlays and subfloors, ensuring odours don't return.

Can you remove urine odours from carpets and upholstery?

Yes, we specialise in urine odour removal. Urine can penetrate deep into carpets, padding, and even wooden or concrete subfloors. We use professional-grade enzymatic treatments that break down uric acid crystals and eliminate bacteria causing the odour. We also treat affected underlays and subfloors when necessary for complete odour elimination.

How long does odour removal treatment take?

Treatment time varies depending on the severity and extent of contamination. Simple surface treatments can be completed in a few hours, while deep contamination affecting underlays or subfloors may require additional time. We provide emergency first-aid odour removal for urgent situations and can fully restore soft fabrics to a clean, fresh condition.

Are your odour removal solutions safe for pets and children?

Absolutely. Our enzymatic and deodorising treatments are eco-friendly, non-toxic, and safe for both pets and children. We use biodegradable formulations that are tough on odours but gentle on your family. All our solutions are specifically chosen to be safe while providing maximum odour elimination effectiveness.

How do I get a quote for odour removal services?

We provide free, no-obligation quotations. We can arrange a convenient time to inspect the affected area in person, or you can send us photographs showing the affected area and any visible staining. Contact us via phone, WhatsApp, or the quote form on this page, and we'll provide an accurate assessment and quote for your specific odour removal needs.

Do you guarantee odour removal?

We stand behind our work with a customer satisfaction guarantee. During our initial assessment, we'll provide an honest evaluation of what can be achieved. While we successfully eliminate the vast majority of odours, we'll always be transparent about any challenging situations. If you're not fully satisfied with the results, we'll return to re-treat the area at no additional cost.
