Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Paul arrived punctually at my home just prior to the expected time as arranged.
He took a few minutes to unload his equipment and explained in a professional and friendly manner exactly what he planned to do.
The work carried out was to a very high standard. I observed him checking each section of work as he progressed through the job to be undertaken.
I was highly pleased with the finished result and would have no hesitation in recommending his work.
It certainly was good value for the amount paid.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently moved house and needed a bit of sprucing up. I was recommended Paul and I’m glad I engaged his services. I needed the patio/driveway cleaned, the roof scraped and sealed, and the PVC fascia cleaned around the house.

Paul was quick to respond and took it from there. He was exceptionally prompt in getting me booked in, and the quote was more than reasonable compared to others in the area.

All the work was completed to a brilliant standard. The old sayings are true: if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys—and you get what you pay for. Paul is certainly no monkey; he is clearly a professional who knows exactly what he is doing. I considered buying the equipment and doing this myself, but it would have taken me weekends to complete to a much lower standard.

I am very happy I took this recommendation and hope you do the same. Fantastic service from a genuine and interesting gent.

Our Process

Safe, Effective, Chemical-Free

We use the industry-standard pure water method for optimal results.

1. Pure Water Technology

We purify water on-site to remove all minerals and impurities. This "hungry water" actively absorbs dirt and dries without leaving any spots or streaks.

De-ionized Water: Zero mineral deposits

Chemical Free: Eco-friendly

Spot-Free Dry: Maximum light absorption

2. Telescopic Soft Brush

We use long-reach carbon fibre poles with specially designed soft-bristle brushes. This allows us to scrub the panels gently to lift grime without scratching the surface.

Long Reach: Cleans safely from ground

Non-Abrasive: Protects panel coating

Bird Mess

Safely removed.

Debris

Leaves cleared.

My professional accreditations

Why Clean Solar Panels?

The benefits of professional solar panel maintenance.

Maximise Output

Dirty panels can lose up to 30% of their efficiency. Cleaning them ensures you get the maximum return on your investment.

Protect Warranty

Many solar panel manufacturers require regular cleaning as part of their warranty conditions to prevent damage.

Remove Bird Droppings

Bird mess creates "hot spots" on panels which can cause permanent damage to the cells if not removed promptly.

Pure Water System

We use de-ionized pure water which dries spot-free, unlike tap water which leaves mineral deposits that block light.

Safe Cleaning

We use telescopic poles and soft brushes to clean safely from the ground or gutter level, avoiding damage to your roof.

Rain Isn't Enough

Rainwater contains contaminants and pollutants. Rain doesn't clean effectively; in fact it can make the problem worse.

Price Promise

The price quoted includes all labour and equipment – no hidden extras.

Fully Insured

We carry full public liability insurance, giving you complete peace of mind while we work on your property.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our solar panel cleaning services.

Why can't I just use a hose pipe?

Tap water contains minerals (calcium and magnesium) that leave white spots on the glass when they dry. These deposits can shade the cells and reduce efficiency. Our pure water system leaves zero residue.

How often should they be cleaned?

We generally recommend cleaning them once every 6-12 months, ideally in Spring to prepare for the longer days. However, if you live near trees or a busy road, more frequent cleaning may be beneficial.

Will cleaning damage the panels?

No. We use soft-bristle brushes specifically designed for solar glass. We do not use high-pressure washers, which can damage seals, nor do we use harsh chemicals that could affect the coating.

Do you need to walk on the roof?

In most cases, no. We use long-reach telescopic poles to clean panels from the safety of the ground or a ladder level. If roof access is absolutely necessary, we use proper safety equipment.

Does rain clean solar panels?

Rain helps a little, but it doesn't remove stuck-on grime, pollen, or bird droppings. Think of your car windscreen; rain doesn't keep it perfectly clean. A professional scrub is needed to remove the film that blocks light.
