Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Marco and Armand came out during the week and cleaned our roof, gutters, fascia, walls, windows and paths! They were so lovely to deal with and their work is impeccable! I’m so shocked at how different the house looks, they made a 20+ year old house look brand new. They worked super quick and were very efficient.

We dealt with Marco from the first enquiry, to the day of the job, and even afterwards…he was a pleasure to deal with, really knowledgeable, honest and fair. Even though there is more work needed he didn’t put pressure on us or try force an upsell which we really appreciate and will definitely get them back as soon as we can to do the other jobs.

Thanks so much Marco and Armand 😊

recommendsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. Got work done on roof and tarmac around house. They were covered in moss. This was first class work done by Marco and his son during the Summer. The results were amazing. No sign of any moss anywhere since. They are truly lovely people to deal with and I can't recommend them high enough. Best decision I ever made was to hire them.

Why Choose Cleaning Doctor?

The benefits of our professional patio cleaning services in Laois.

Natural Stone Experts

We understand different stone types - sandstone, limestone, granite, slate - and use appropriate pressure and treatments for each to avoid damage.

Black Spot Removal

Those stubborn black spots are actually lichen. We use specialist biocide treatments that kill the organism at the root for lasting removal.

Safety & Grip

Algae-covered patios are dangerously slippery. Our cleaning restores grip and we can apply anti-slip treatments for extra safety.

Decking Restoration

We also clean and restore wooden and composite decking, removing slippery algae and restoring the original appearance.

Weed Control

We remove all weeds from joints and can apply treatments to inhibit regrowth. Re-pointing services are also available.

Long Lasting Results

Our biocide treatments continue working for weeks after cleaning, preventing rapid regrowth of algae and moss.

Price Promise

The price quoted includes all labour, materials and equipment - no hidden extras or surprise charges.

Fully Insured

We carry full public liability insurance for all exterior cleaning work, giving you complete peace of mind.

Our Process

Professional Patio Restoration

We follow a proven process to deliver outstanding, long-lasting results.

Pressure Wash: Deep cleaning

Weed Removal: Joints cleared

2. Re-point & Seal (Optional)

For a complete restoration, we can re-point joints with sand or mortar, and apply a protective sealant to enhance appearance and protection.

Re-pointing: Stabilises slabs

Sealing: Long-term protection

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our patio cleaning services.

What are black spots on my patio and can you remove them?

Black spots are actually lichen - a combination of algae and fungus. They have root-like structures that penetrate into the stone. We use specialist biocide treatments that kill the organism at the root, then pressure wash to remove. This provides much longer-lasting results than just pressure washing alone.

Do you offer re-pointing services?

Yes, we can re-point your patio with kiln-dried sand or mortar after cleaning. This stabilises slabs, prevents weed regrowth and gives a neat, finished appearance. We'll advise on the best option for your specific patio type.

Can you clean decking as well as patio slabs?

Absolutely! We clean both wooden and composite decking. We use appropriate pressure levels and specialist treatments to remove slippery algae without damaging the surface. We can also apply oils or sealants for protection.

Do I need to be home and do you need access to an outside tap?

We do need a water supply, ideally an outside tap. If you don't have one, we can sometimes use an internal tap with a hose run through a window. You don't need to be home as long as we have access to the patio and water supply.

How long before I can walk on my patio after cleaning?

You can usually walk on the patio immediately after cleaning, though it will be wet. If we've applied a sealant, you'll need to keep off for 24-48 hours to allow it to cure properly. We'll give you specific advice based on the treatments used.
