I dealt with Vinny on the last call out by the Cleaning Doctor and Vinny was a pleasure to deal with. Very friendly and excellent at what he does, made our carpet look brand new.

He immediately unloaded the equipment he needed to do the job at hand. The inside of the van was as clean as the outside and was very well laid out. He had a lady working with him and they both got stuck into the job immediately. I have to say that the job itself was done in a very professional manner and to a very high standard. The price we were charged was very fair. After a quick cup of tea and the bill paid they loaded up and were ready to leave. Both of them were very friendly people and I could not recommend highly enough. We will most certainly be using Mr. Hennessy and his team again. Our friends and neighbours will hear about them too. We identify the fibre and the stain to choose the correct chemical solution.

1. Identification & Treatment

We first identify the carpet fibre (wool, synthetic, etc.) and the type of stain. We then apply the specific cleaning agent designed for that unique combination.

2. Rinse & Extraction

Common questions about stain removal.

Can you remove every stain?

While we can remove the vast majority of spots and spills, no cleaner can guarantee 100% removal of every stain. Some substances (like bleach, strong dyes, or old urine) can permanently alter the carpet fibre. We will always inspect and give you an honest assessment before starting.

Does pet urine smell go away?

In most cases we can significantly reduce or completely eliminate pet urine odour using specialist enzyme treatments that break down the uric acid crystals and bacteria causing the smell. However, we always give an honest assessment upfront. If urine has soaked beyond the carpet into the underlay, subfloor, floorboards, skirting boards or other surfaces, it can sometimes be impossible to remove the odour completely. We will always let you know what results we expect to achieve before we begin any work.

Should I use supermarket stain remover?

We strongly advise against it. Many off-the-shelf products contain bleaching agents that can permanently discolour your carpet or "set" the stain, making it impossible for a professional to remove later. Call us first for the best chance of success.

How soon should I call you?

Immediately! The longer a stain sits, the more it bonds with the fibre. Blot (don't rub) any excess liquid with a clean white towel, then call us to arrange a visit.

Can you re-apply stain protection?

Yes. After we have removed the stain and cleaned the area, we highly recommend applying a stain protector (like Scotchgard) to make future spills easier to wipe up before they penetrate the pile.
