Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t speak more highly of James, Ethan and Ivor. They worked solidly for 2 whole days to completely transform our old driveway and patio which was full of weeds creeping through the bricks and stained over years of wear and tear. They then sanded between the bricks to try and prevent the return of the weeds. In addition to this they cleaned our solar panels, treated the roof, and cleaned the external walls of the house including a large stain on the front which I was worried wouldn’t come off. The house looks brand new and several friends and family have commented particularly on the transformation of the patio and paths all around the house. The amount of work they have done in just two days is very impressive. These guys are polite, friendly, professional and just all round lovely people. Thanks fellas - will be using you again in the future for sure and recommending you to others.

Why Clean Your Roof?

Moss and algae doesn't just look bad—it damages your roof over time.

Prevents Damage

Moss holds moisture against tiles, causing them to crack and deteriorate. Regular cleaning protects your investment.

Extends Roof Life

A clean roof lasts longer. Removing biological growth prevents premature ageing of tiles and shingles.

Improves Curb Appeal

A clean roof dramatically improves your home's appearance and can add thousands to its value.

Prevents Leaks

Moss lifts tiles and creates gaps. Water can penetrate, causing expensive internal damage.

Gutter Protection

Moss debris blocks gutters and downpipes. We remove it and clean your gutters as part of the service. Need them done on their own? See our gutter cleaning in Bangor.

Safe Methods

We don't use high pressure that damages tiles. Our soft wash method is safe and highly effective.

Long-Lasting Results

Our biocide treatment kills spores deep in the tile pores, delays regrowth for years with adequate maintenance.

Fully Insured

We carry full liability insurance and work to the highest safety standards.

Our Process

Safe & Effective Roof Cleaning

We use specialist soft wash techniques to protect your roof while achieving exceptional results.

1. Inspection & Preparation

We start with a full roof survey to identify problem areas and check tile condition. We block downpipes to prevent debris entering your drainage system.

Full Survey: Identify issues

Safe Access: Scaffolding or MEWP

Protection: Block downpipes

2. Soft Wash & Biocide Treatment

We apply specialist biocide that kills moss, algae, and lichen spores without high pressure. This protects your tiles and provides long-lasting results.

Soft Wash: No tile damage

Biocide: Kills spores deep

Warning

High pressure may damage roof tiles and cause water leaks into your attic. However there may be situations where power pressure washing is acceptable to achieve desired results etc

Our Method

Safe, effective, and lasts longer.

3. Final Inspection & Cleanup

After treatment, we complete a full gutter clean, remove all debris, and conduct a final inspection to ensure your roof is in perfect condition.

Gutter Clean: Full clear-out

Final Check: Quality assured

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about roof cleaning services.

Do you use high pressure washers on my roof?

No, we typically use a "Soft Wash" method or very controlled low pressure. High pressure can damage tiles and force water into the loft. Our method relies on specialist biocide treatments to clean effectively without the risk of damage.

How do you access the roof?

Safety is our priority. We use scaffolding towers, cherry pickers (MEWPs), or professional roof ladders. We avoid walking directly on your tiles whenever possible to prevent breakage.

Will the moss come back?

Moss will eventually return as it is a natural spore in the air. However, our biocide treatment kills the spores deep in the tile pores, delaying regrowth significantly compared to just scraping. We can also apply a sealer to further inhibit regrowth for years.

Do you clean up the gutters afterwards?

Absolutely. Roof cleaning generates debris. We block downpipes before starting to prevent clogs, and we perform a full gutter clean and rinse down of the walls and ground areas as part of the service.
