Water and Flood Damage Restoration of Flooded House in Glenavy Co. Antrim

Dear David,

Some time has passed since you attended at Juniper Cottage and it’s only now that things have settled down that I have the time to write to you.

You will remember that following a bereavement my sister was traumatised by the circumstances and having got over the initial formalities the rains cane and the river overflowed and flooded the house. We were fortunate to contact you the following day, when you came out immediately and took the problem in hand. The house was cleared of carpets and furniture and a caravan installed in the drive for us to live in whilst the many dehumidifiers did their job.

Your team worked relentlessly to clean the house when dry. I couldn’t believe the improvement after all the dirt, even in the garage. It was a great comfort to my sister and I that we had a contact number where we could have called you at any hour of the day or night for your help if anything was a worry to us. I consider that your team attended to our needs far beyond the call of your particular duty. They did their job, having respect for the situation my sister was in, and for this especially I thank you all.

I just wish that all workmen that come to do work in one’s home were as reliable and efficient as your team were on this occasion.

Mary recovered from MRSA and has had her carpets protected with Bactoshield.

Mary’s Story:
In May 2007, Mary suffered a heart attack, and following triple bypass surgery in August 2007, she contracted MRSA while she was in hospital. After a two-week stay in intensive care and a following a two-month course of treatment in her local hospital, she had built up her strength and was discharged MRSA free.
During her rehabilitation at home, with frequent community health staff and friends visiting, she noticed that her beige living-room carpet was looking very dirty.

Throughout her six-month stay in hospital, Mary had become used to her floors been thoroughly cleaned, and she wanted to ensure her home was as clean as possible to aid her recovery. Mary had a weakened immune system, and it was important that she avoided infection, which would have had a profound effect on her health.
